We all know, first hand, the importance of using social media for these areas but to be impactful requires a more in-depth look past the basic metrics to see how engaged these followers are and how influential they are with their peers. There is a new survey that was released today that sought to look past the basic metrics of social media (such as how many friends or followers you have) to dive into how impactful social media is for College Communications and Alumni Relations.
